Horn & Heel
I started Horn & Heel with my long-time friend, Duncan. He is a knife-maker and metalsmith specializing in culinary cutlery. His knives are in hands of reputable, James Beard-award-winning chefs around the country as well celebrity chef, Ted Allen on The Food Network show, Chopped.

Sharing the stories of our customers is a huge part of what we enjoy most about our efforts. We meet some amazing, real, hardworking people, like Chef Jake.
In late 2018 we released our higo-style folding knife—A Knife for Knife Stuff. The personality of the brand is somewhere along the lines of a modern day John Wayne mixed with an excited nay-sayer.
We started with product development and together we honed in ergonomics, design and packaging.
…until we finally landed on what we felt was a to-the-point, honest package that holds an honest product.
Once we finalized the knife, we focused on the packaging and the launch. The idea was to tell the story of what any pocket knife should be used for.
We went through many many (many…) prototypes and iterations…
